Trevor Ward, Principal of W Hospitality Group, is a specialist consultant in the hospitality and leisure industries. He began his consultancy career in 1983 after earning a hotel management degree from the University of Surrey and working in management roles with De Vere and Ladbroke Hotels in the UK.
Since the late 1980s, he has specialized in advising clients in developing countries, focusing on hotel and tourism development in over 90 countries across Europe, the Americas, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. Based in Nigeria since 2003, he is a leading expert on the hotel industry in sub-Saharan Africa, working with international hotel groups on projects ranging from investment appraisals to operator selection, owner’s representation, and asset management.
Trevor is the Institute of Hospitality's Ambassador for Africa and a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants. He’s active in organizations like the Hotel Owners and Managers Association of Lagos and regularly speaks at industry conferences, contributing to publications like African Business Traveler and Africa Investor.
